Founder

Mark Jonjock, Coach J built Maverick Movement Academy on the belief that true health starts by listening to the body. “Feedback prioritizes actions in health. Your body speaks to you”. A veteran and lifelong learner, he began by optimizing performance for demands in the military which grew into personal training, holistic nutrition through aiding fellow marines & sailors back into weight standards or fitness performance. Then moved into advanced systems like CHEK Institute (Nutrition & Holistic Health), MBSC, PPSC (Strength & conditioning), and PRI (Biomechanics through Connor Harris) to solve the more comprehensive cases seen during his decade of practices. When the pandemic shifted the fitness landscape, he leaned into breath work, biochemistry, and stress tolerance as essential tools for modern health as demanded by our overexposure to stresses. J’s approach is fascia-first, science-driven, and unapologetically human — meeting people where they are and enabling them to find their own strength that lasts as they age.
